Scholarly Raps

When, as a teacher, your creative classroom content reaches over eleven thousand people, you can pretty much guarantee that there are more people checking out your work than just your students.

I work along side the extremely talented Andy Horne who in addition to being a great teacher and high school coach, continues to impress me with his scholarly raps. These educational and informative raps set over classic hip-hop tracks that teachers will appreciate, are one of the many highlights of his classes and get people off of their seats at conferences.

His rap topics include:

Students continue to talk about Andy’s lessons long after they’ve sat through the unit, learned the material and been quizzed on the content. Teachers that have seen Andy perform these raps live at conferences (and he’s presenting at IAHPERD again this year) give him great feedback and use the videos in their lessons also.

Feel free to share Andy’s Scholarly Raps with your students, perhaps even encouraging them to create their own.
